My name is Angie and I am a qualified dance movement psychotherapist offering movement sessions for wellbeing.
My company name is ‘Body-Mind Rhythms’ (B-MR), which is a platform for expression and healing through movement. Sessions focus on nurturing the balance between body and mind by bringing awareness to the present moment. It is a creative space for participants to explore their wellbeing, express their emotions and release any emotional or psychological blockages through movement and dance.
As a qualified dance movement-psychotherapist I draw upon my experience of 5-rhythms, meditation, qi gong, nia dance, contact improvisation and laughter yoga practices. Participants are encouraged to release their inhibitions, tune into the deep wisdom of their bodies and surrender to intuitive guidance.
I currently offer weekly drop in sessions at Ponsanooth Hall, Truro on Monday evenings from 20:15 to 21:15. Come along if you think you may be interested and check out my page for further details:
Supporting Music Therapy in Cornwall
Part of our fundraising effort this year is ‘Music and Mayhem’ a family friendly, inclusive event with music and games for everyone. Alongside the usual Giant Jenga and Connect Four games there will also be art activities, Indian Dance from Charlotte at InspirAsian and music from local acts Jordon Jane and Black-eyed Nancy, a group of very talented students from Carrick Wind Band and internationally renowned folk bands Davey & Dyer and Teyr.
