I am a fully qualified and insured medical herbalist, passionate about working with people and helping them heal using medicinal plants.
My patients come to see me from all walks of life, for help with all sorts of health complaints, including those relating to the digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal and reproductive systems, and of emotional/psychological origin.
Deanne Greenwood, Herbalism
Medical Herbalist, BSc (Hons), Herb. Med., MCPP
I have a special interest in women’s hormonal health, from menstrual and fertility problems to the menopause, including breast cancer. I also see many people with chronic or long term illness, including autoimmune disorders.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Herbal Medicine. My training included pharmacology, ie, orthodox prescription drugs, and standard diagnostic techniques as used by GPs, as well as an in-depth study of herbal therapeutics. There was an emphasis on scientific research and ‘evidence-based’ practice. But for me, traditional use and knowledge of herbal medicine that has been passed down through the ages, together with my personal experience of using and working with herbs and people, counts for so much more than the scientists’ findings!
A consultation with me, by the way, will include simple and practical dietary and lifestyle advice, to support the work the medicinal plants are doing. The aim is not only to maximise your healing potential and get you fit and well as quickly as possible, but also to keep you fit and well for as long as possible.
